The HydroApps mobile app allows staff to receive real-time push notifications for important operational updates, scheduling activity, maintenance issues, water chemistry alerts, and more. Staff can easily control which notifications they receive directly from the app settings.
Enabling Notifications
Before notifications can be received in the mobile app:
Your HydroApps administrator must enable notifications in the web platform
Notifications must also be enabled for your user role or individual account
Once enabled by your organization, staff can manage their personal notification preferences directly within the app.
Accessing Notification Settings
To manage notification settings:
Tap the Gear Icon in the top right corner of the app
Select Notifications
From there, you can view and manage all available push notification options.
Turning Notifications On or Off
At the top of the Notifications screen, you’ll see a master toggle that allows you to:
Turn all push notifications on
Turn all push notifications off
You can also individually control specific notification types based on your preferences.
Managing Individual Notification Types
HydroApps allows staff to customize which alerts they receive.
Depending on your organization’s setup, notifications may include:
Pool water chemistry alerts
Out-of-range readings
Maintenance ticket submissions
Shift requests and approvals
Checklist completions
Form submissions
Audit activity
Scheduling updates
Other operational alerts
This allows staff to stay informed without receiving unnecessary notifications.
Important Notification Permissions
Even if a notification is enabled inside the app:
It will only be delivered if your administrator has enabled it for your account or user role
If you are not receiving expected notifications, contact your organization’s HydroApps administrator to verify your permissions.
Viewing Notifications
To view incoming notifications:
Tap the Notifications Icon in the bottom right corner of the app
From there, staff can:
Review recent alerts
Open related items directly from notifications
Stay informed about operational activity across the facility
Read & Unread Notifications
As notifications are opened and viewed, HydroApps automatically marks them as read.
Unread notifications remain highlighted until reviewed, making it easy to identify new operational updates that still require attention.
Real-Time Facility Awareness
Push notifications help staff and supervisors stay connected to important operational activity in real time. Whether responding to maintenance issues, water chemistry alerts, staffing updates, or completed forms, the HydroApps mobile app keeps critical information accessible wherever staff are working.
