Submitting Time Off Requests in the Mobile App

The HydroApps mobile app makes it quick and easy for staff to submit, review, and update time off requests directly from their phone. Whether requesting a full vacation week or a short appointment during the day, staff can manage scheduling requests without needing access to a desktop computer.



Accessing Time Off Requests

There are two ways to access time off requests in the HydroApps mobile app:

Option 1: Navigation Menu

  1. Open the Navigation Menu

  2. Tap Time Off Requests


Option 2: Scheduling Dashboard

  1. Open the Scheduling Dashboard

  2. Select Time Off Requests


Both options allow staff to create new requests and review existing submissions.



Submitting a Full-Day Time Off Request

To request multiple full days off:

  1. Tap the New Time Off Request button

  2. Select the start date

  3. Select the end date

  4. Choose All Day

  5. Select the reason or request type

  6. Add optional notes or comments

  7. Tap Save and Exit


For example, staff may submit vacation requests, personal days, or other scheduling conflicts directly through the app.

Once submitted, the request is automatically sent to management for review.



Submitting Partial-Day Time Off Requests

HydroApps also allows staff to request time off for only part of a shift or day.

To submit a partial-day request:

  1. Select the date

  2. Turn off the All Day option

  3. Enter the start and end times

  4. Add a reason or notes if needed

  5. Save the request


This is useful for:

  • Doctor appointments

  • School events

  • Personal obligations

  • Late arrivals or early departures



Viewing Request Status

The mobile app allows staff to quickly filter and review requests by status, including:

  • Pending requests

  • Approved requests

  • Rejected requests


This helps staff easily track the status of submitted requests and upcoming schedule changes.



Editing Existing Requests

Time off requests can also be updated directly within the app.

For example, if plans change and additional time is needed:

  1. Open the existing request

  2. Adjust the requested time or dates

  3. Save the changes


Managers will automatically see the updated request information.



Upcoming & Past Requests

The app displays both:

  • Recent past requests

  • Upcoming requests for the next several weeks


This gives staff a quick overview of scheduled time away and pending approvals.
