Submitting Staff Availability in the Mobile App

The HydroApps mobile app features a fully redesigned availability submission system that makes it faster and easier for staff to manage their scheduling preferences directly from their phone. Instead of using a traditional calendar view, the mobile app now uses a streamlined day-and-time selection system designed specifically for mobile devices.
Accessing Availability Settings
To manage your availability:
Open the Scheduling Dashboard
Tap My Availability
From there, you can create, edit, and manage your available working times.
Understanding the New Availability System
Unlike the web platform calendar view, the mobile app uses a simplified scheduling interface that allows staff to:
Select date ranges
Choose specific days of the week
Set available shift times using sliders
Add multiple availability windows for the same day
This makes it much easier to quickly update changing schedules from anywhere.
Setting Availability for Specific Days
When creating availability:
Select your start date
Select your end date
Choose the days of the week the availability applies to
Use the time sliders to select your available hours
For example, you may set:
Sunday mornings from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Sunday evenings from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Multiple availability windows can be added for the same day if needed.
Creating Multiple Availability Entries
HydroApps automatically keeps your availability entries organized in chronological order.
Each time you submit a new availability block:

Managers receive updated availability information immediately
You can continue adding new date ranges and custom availability as needed.
Single-Day Availability Changes

For example:
Mark yourself available all day for a specific date
Add temporary extra availability

Simply create a new availability entry for the selected day and submit the updated hours.
Updating & Managing Availability
Availability can be edited at any time directly within the app.
Staff can:
Add new availability
Remove existing availability
Adjust shift times
Update recurring scheduling preferences
