Completing Facility Checklists in the Mobile App

The HydroApps mobile app makes it easy for staff to complete facility inspections and checklists directly from the deck, eliminating the need to return to a desktop computer. Staff can quickly document compliant items, log issues, assign corrective actions, and finalize inspections all from their mobile device.



Starting a Checklist

To begin a checklist in the HydroApps mobile app:

  1. Tap the Quick Input button at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select your facility.

  3. Choose the checklist you would like to complete.

Once opened, you can move through each section of the checklist and complete items as needed.



Completing Checklist Questions

Each checklist item can be marked as:

  • Compliant

  • Compliant with Comment

  • N/A (Not Applicable)

  • Non-Compliant


For non-compliant items, staff can indicate whether the issue is:

  • Urgent

  • Non-Urgent


When logging a non-compliant issue, you can:

  • Add notes or details

  • Assign a responsible staff member

  • Set a corrective action deadline


By default, corrective action deadlines are automatically set one week out, but they can be adjusted if needed.



Notifications & Alerts

If you are assigned responsibility for a corrective action, HydroApps will immediately send an in-app notification alerting you to the issue.


Each checklist response also records:

  • The account completing the item

  • The date and time the item was answered


This creates a clear documentation trail for accountability and operational tracking.



Finalizing a Checklist

After completing the final question in a section:

  1. Add any additional comments if needed

  2. Enter your signature

  3. Review the checklist

  4. Tap Finalize


Once finalized, the checklist is officially submitted and saved in HydroApps.



Backdating a Checklist

If you need to enter a checklist for a previous date:

  1. Tap the checklist date field

  2. Select the correct date

  3. Continue and finalize the checklist normally


This allows staff to accurately log inspections that may have been completed earlier.



Viewing Existing Checklists

You can also access checklists at any time through the navigation menu:

  1. Tap the Navigation Menu in the bottom left corner

  2. Select Checklists


From there, staff can:

  • View active checklists

  • Continue incomplete checklists

  • Start new inspections

  • Review completed entries


Incomplete checklists will appear in orange, matching the behavior of the HydroApps web platform.
