- 2 min read
The HydroApps Time Clock allows employees to clock in and out, take breaks, and manage their work time directly from the HydroApps mobile app. Depending on your organization’s settings, you may be required to select a scheduled shift or be within a designated location to clock in.
Accessing the Time Clock
Log in to your HydroApps mobile app.
Tap the Navigation button.
Select Time Clock.
If you do not see the Time Clock option, your organization may not have this functionality enabled. Contact your system administrator for assistance.
Clocking In for a Scheduled Shift
If your organization requires an assigned shift:
Open Time Clock.
Select your scheduled shift.
Tap Clock In.
Once you are clocked in, your current status and clock-in time will appear on the screen.
Location Requirements
Your organization may use geofencing to require employees to be at or near their work location before clocking in.
If HydroApps cannot verify that you are within the approved area, you will receive an error and will not be able to clock in. Once you are within the designated location, you can try again.
Taking a Break
When it is time for a break, tap Take a Break. HydroApps will record the time your break begins.
When you return, tap Clock In to resume your shift. Your time clock history will show the start and end of your break.
Clocking Out
At the end of your shift, tap Clock Out. Your Time Clock will display your recorded activity, including your clock-in time, breaks, and final clock-out time.
If you have an open clock-in from an earlier shift or a previous day, HydroApps will require you to clock out before starting a new shift.
Clocking In Without an Assigned Shift
If your organization allows employees to clock in without a scheduled shift:
Open Time Clock.
Select None for your shift.
Select the appropriate pay code for the work you are performing.
Tap Clock In.
Pay codes allow you to identify the type of work you are performing, such as lifeguarding, swim instruction, coaching, or another aquatics role.
If you change roles during the day, clock out of your current assignment and select the appropriate pay code when clocking back in.
Note: Available shifts, pay codes, geofencing requirements, and other Time Clock settings are determined by your organization.
If you have questions about your shifts, pay codes, location requirements, or Time Clock settings, contact your HydroApps system administrator.
