The new Body Location Selector question type lets users mark the location of an injury directly on a body diagram when completing an incident report in the HydroApps app. This makes reports clearer, more accurate, and easier to review later.
What it does
Body Selector adds a visual way to capture injury location in your forms. Instead of relying only on typed descriptions, staff can tap the affected area on the diagram and save that selection to the report. This is especially helpful for first aid and incident documentation, where precision matters.
How to use it
Open the incident injury report in the HydroApps app.
Start a new report.
Navigate to the injury location field.
Select the body area where the injury occurred.
Use clear if needed to remove a mistaken selection.
Save the report to include the injury location in the final record.
How to add it to a form
Go to Admin.
Open Forms.
Select the incident report form you want to update.
Open Questions.
Choose the section where you want to add the field.
Click Add Question.
Select Body Selector as the question type.
Save the form and test it in form preview.
Best use cases
Body Selector can be added to incident reports, first aid forms, and other custom forms in HydroApps. It is not limited to injury documentation, so you can use it anywhere a visual location selector helps your staff capture better data.
Why it matters
This feature helps your team document incidents more consistently and makes reports easier to understand at a glance. It also gives you another way to customize forms so they better fit your facility’s workflow.
