Compliance Manager helps your organization evaluate current operations against aquatic industry best practices and identify opportunities for improvement. This article walks through the process of completing an assessment from start to finish.
Getting Started
When you open Compliance Manager, you'll see a list of facilities that have been assigned assessments.
For each facility, you'll see:
Facility name
Assessment due date (if one has been assigned)
Completion status
A Begin or Continue Assessment button
If you have not started the assessment, select Begin. If you've already started, select Continue Assessment to pick up where you left off.
Step 1: Complete the Demographics Section
The Demographics section is the foundation of your assessment.
Your answers help Compliance Manager customize the remaining questions based on your facility and operations.
You may be asked about:
Facility type
Bodies of water
Waterslides and attractions
Spray features
Operational characteristics
Because Compliance Manager uses dynamic questions, the answers you provide here determine which questions appear later in the assessment.
Tip:Â Complete all demographic questions carefully to ensure the rest of the assessment is tailored to your facility.
Step 2: Work Through Each Assessment Section
After Demographics, you'll move through the remaining assessment sections.
Each section contains a series of questions designed to evaluate different aspects of your operation.
You do not need to complete the entire assessment in one sitting. Progress is saved automatically, allowing you to return later and continue where you left off.
Using Assessment Filters
To help you navigate larger assessments, several filters are available.
Unanswered Questions
Use the Unanswered filter to display only questions that still need responses.
This is especially helpful if multiple team members are contributing to the assessment or if you're completing it over several days.
On-Site Questions
On-site questions are best answered while physically at the facility.
Examples may include:
Inspecting equipment
Verifying signage
Reviewing deck conditions
Checking pump rooms or mechanical spaces
Off-Site Questions
Off-site questions are generally best completed from an office or computer.
Examples may include:
Reviewing policies and procedures
Accessing reports
Looking up operational records
Reviewing HydroApps data
Adding Photos
Every question includes the option to upload photos.
Photos are not required, but they can be valuable for:
Documenting facility conditions
Tracking improvements over time
Providing additional context
Creating a historical record for future assessments
Any photos added during the assessment will appear in the final report.
Adding Comments
You can add comments throughout the assessment.
Comments may be used to:
Provide additional context
Explain unique circumstances
Document observations
Leave notes for future assessments
You can also add general comments before submitting the assessment.
Like photos, comments are included in the final report.
Finalizing the Assessment
Once all required questions have been answered, you'll be able to finalize the assessment.
Before submission, you'll have the opportunity to:
Add general comments
Review your responses
Complete the signature section
When all required sections are complete, the Finalize Assessment button will become available.
After Submission
Once an assessment is finalized, Compliance Manager will generate:
Assessment reports
Recommended action items
Compliance improvement opportunities
Risk management recommendations
You'll also gain access to the additional Compliance Manager tools used to review reports and manage generated action items.
